Ed Goldie ( MD Kaleidoscope Photography Ltd )

“I have known Jacob for several years and found him to be a very courteous and helpful person.

Jacob has been on work experience at my photographic studio in Leeds and has helped on various projects. I have been very pleased with his attention to detail and his communication skills with others.

He has a genuine interest in wanting to learn and if unsure of something will ask relevant questions to ensure he understands fully some of the complex processes that we have in place in the studio.

Creatively, Jacob has a good eye for photography and is more than capable of being left on his own to work on a project. Above all he is passionate about what he does and this is the quality that is needed in this profession.

I believe that Jacob is an asset to any business and would fit in very well”

Jamie Collier (Senior Photographic Technician - BA (Hons), Cert Ed, ABIPP, AFHEA, CMgr MCMI)

‘Jacob took on the post of 'Photographic Technician' for the University of Huddersfield at very short notice and was not daunted by the complexities of the new role. Jacob's knowledge of hi-end photographic equipment, lighting and digital software processes was greatly valued. His calm and helpful approach when working with students made him very popular, creating a great working environment around the photographic studios and resources store.
He is a good problem solver and resourceful, implementing solutions in a pro-active manner, whilst seeking clarification or guidance when needed. Jacob is honest, kind and well spoken and is very keen to learn more.

I would not hesitate to recommend Jacob for a role within an educational or business environment.’

Kind regards Jamie

Dr. Liam Devlin (Director of Recruitment at UoH - Photographer - Senior Lecturer)

My experience in working with Jacob was primarily through the work I do as Year Head for the final year BA (Hons) Photography students. Most of the work entails working closely with each student to help them to develop a substantial body of work for the public exhibition at the end of academic year. Throughout the final year, Jacob conducted his studies with diligence, demonstrating an excellent work ethic, with an ambition to achieve imagery of the highest technical standard. In addition, Jacob was always on hand to help his peers in the studio, lending is own experience to help fellow students.

Since graduating Jacob began working as a studio technician helping current students in the studio, running the equipment store and helping run practical workshops. Jacob has excelled in the role and brought real value to the student experience and the effective management of the photographic studios.
